Hi Chad,
From iTunes, with your iPad connected to your PC / Mac, you have to select the Tab "Applications". There you can see all the apps installed onto your device to the bottom of the page and, for each one, you have access to its Document Folder where you can also find (and replace) the Orderlayout.xml file.

Hi Guys,

I’ve modified one of the sample Orderlayout.xml files and I want to get it on to my iPad to be used with my copy of iOrder for iPad, version5.0.5.

Can you tell me how I transfer the file into onto the iPad? My iPad shows up in iTunes, but I can not see a file system to allow me to copy the file across. Can someone tell me how I do this?

Cheers,
Chad

Hi mregal,
Order cannot be imported back into iOrder but only exported in .csv or .xml format and, then, you can manage these files to save your orders into your ERP for example.
The changes are not immediately synchronized with each iOrder, we are about to open subscriptions to our new moveinCloud portal with which you will be able to synch data with your devices immediately.

You posted "Remember that the Orders are the only data that you can not import but only export." What does that mean? How can I export them but not import them? If I export something from point "A", then, logically it means point "B" will be importing them.

Ok, you have explained how to transfer the info from one device to another, but are changes made in one device immediately relected on the other device?

Hi mregal,
The process explained above is available and the same both for iPad and iPhone versions of iOrder and also with iCatalog. We worked hard to make our apps as more flexible as possible and we are still working on it too.

Ok, that sounds great. Another quick question, I see that iOrder is available also for iPhone. If I buy this version, are the records on the iPad transferred to the iPhone automatically? I mean, if a customer makes a payment and I record it on the iPad, will it automatically be reflected on the iPhone?

Hi mregal,
iOrder supports import and export data in both .csv and .xml format.
So, in order to have the same data onto the new iPad, you simply have to export all data from the old iPad and then re-import them into the new one.
The files exported are accessible into iOrder Documents Folder, available via iTunes. They are named with su prefix "exp_", you simply have to rename them changing the prefix in "imp_" and transfer them into the iOrder documents folder of the new iPad.
You can read about an illustrated guide about impor/export data into iOrder user Manual, accessible into the Applicazion "Help" menu or here in our Community.
Remember that the Orders are the only data that you can not import but only export.

My wife bought an iPad and I ordered iOrder and she has been using it for about a year and she is delighted! However, she bought the new iPad and no info has been transferred to her new iPad. She can't sell her old one until she has all the info in the new one. How should she go about doing so?
