Team on "Export orderfiles chosen by date and in 1 file"

Hello pmmci,

we considered the capability to export orders just in one file. But it's more easy for an external ERP manage 3 separated files. Anyway, we will consider it for a future release of iOrder, but if you noticed, the XML export file format generates only one file: you may consider to use this file format instead .CSV.

1. As explained clearly in the users manual, from the previous release of iOrder it's possibile now to use not only the UTF-8 characters set, but also other special characters such as æ, ø and å, just changing the encoding format from the application settings.

2. Solved as explained in the other post.

3. It would be a good implementation for a future release, we will think about it.

4. We answered in the previous post.

Regards,

Hi,

Have you considered to redesign your mode of orderexport?

When you obtain an order you have to export all the orders every time, you have to send them home to orderrecievers.
You also have the order in 3 parts (3 files - header, body and footer).
Why not in 1 file, so you don't have to gather them, in somewhat "in-house" programming, before you can import the order to the ERP system?

I still follow your upgrades, but we cannot use your program yet, before:

1. Danish æ, ø and å is solved.
2. ID's should be random (eg. itemnumber 50020093848, not 1, 2, 3....)
3. Export of orders of today (or another optional date, that we can chose in the program).
4. Orders is separated into one file per order.

Can you follow me?

Best regards
Peter

Hi,

You have upgraded your version to 3.3, but we still can't import or export the characters æ, ø and å.

Best regards

Hi pmmci,
To correctly see those characters in the export phase, you have to choose Latin1 encoding from the Application Settings.
This encoding has effect only for the export both in CSV and XML format, but we are working to implement it for the order and product layouts too.

Feel free to write us about any question or suggestion.

Hi,

Which character set shall we use to see æ, ø and å in iOrder modules (products, customers, orders)?
Here I mean in export phase.

In the order preview there's no æ, ø and å either.
How do we get that?

Best regards

Hi again pmmci,
We are about to submit the 3.2 iOrder release to the Apple approval, so it will be available in the App Store in few days in order to their approval requested time.
In this new iOrder release you will have no issues about managing those characters in both import and export activity.

Please feel free to write us for any help or suggestion.

Hi again,

It's both import and export that's not shown correct.

When is the new release of your program ready?

Thanks for fast and good response.

Hello Peter M. Møller,

thanks for your message.

We noticed that the issue you reported is not for import but only for export.

In the upcoming release, iOrder will support special characters, such as those you specify. You will choose your preferred characters encoding from the application settings.

Staty tuned.
